Makeshift ICU shut and has become a covid ICU due to 1 pt testing positive on their second surveillance swab. Which didn't come back until Thursday sometime, meaning that some staff have been in isolation (those who were in direct care of them) and all other pt's are considered close contacts.

( However, I clearly have all the luck in the world at the moment. )

When your really nice patient, whose waiting for his liver transplant in ICU getting sicker by the day, asks you if your an organ donor (such as- on the register).

What do you say?

Imagine that your not on the register.

Or your religion is against organ donation.

Or you are personally uncomfortable with the idea.

Rose wasa 62 year old woman from regional NSW who had approx 2 weeks of redness and pain in her R) foot.
With a past history of PVD she was diagnosed with cellulitis.
The GP who was monitoring her gave her antibiotics.

I had a good run.

Nights are like this: The first is the absolute devil. The 2nd, your only thinking about when hell will end, and on the 3rd you see the light at the end of the tunnel and (mostly) breeze through.
